Quick release strap for hanging ballast weight to the adapter eye bolt.
Ballast for your outside equipment is crucial. Your dishwill blowover and be seriously damaged in heavy winds, if it isn't weighted down with ballast or anchored. To prevent "blow-overs", it is strongly recommended that at least 50 lbs of weight be suspended from the adapter eye bolt, with a standard cargo strap. Large hard-sided water containers (6-7 gal) work very well for this. Note: The collapsible water containers tend to leak after use.
Other methods such as "The Claw" (Shown Above) or metal stakes and tie-downs will help stabilize your dish. However, these methods do not work well in rocky soil or on very hard surfaces. A large water container works well everywhere.
